hasn't been much time/money spent on this recently due to buying stuff for the FG (brembos and Simmons FR19s) and stuff for the EF (big brakes, Simmons FR17s, snort plenum, ceramic coating, T5 etc)

but anyways little update...

my custom 6boost manifold was completed today :) photo of it :)

cheers :P umm i can finally start working on this (the EF is going off for a tune this friday, and then a respray... wont need any more mechanical mods for a while)
meaning its ute time

im on the lookout for a T3 flanged T45R or larger.
worse case, ill get another manifold made up. and ill retain the T3 flanged one (and 3540) in the event i want to use the ute for a No Limits night or something

what i need to do (to get it 'operating' for a tune):
- bolt up gearbox (and get hydraulic clutch cable made)
- custom tailshaft
- new radiator and thermo fans
- Plenum and piping
- exhaust
- Motec SDL (dash)
- fuel pump

since the lighting (headlights, tail lights, indicators, brake lights) dont work off the ecu, i can leave them out for now ... since the ute will get a tow to and back from Ovaboost

ive also got the whole engine loom, so ill get Ovaboost to wire up the ECU to the engine loom

of course theres the little things to do, but they are standard turbo install requirements, so dont need to be mentioned.

Why has it been bulk headaches? Is it not fitting well or something else?

i didnt get barb vacuum fittings, then no pirtek/enzed had fittings that fit.

ended up having to go to a bolt specialist, finding it out it was a 1/8 BSPT (thread) and that i needed to re-tap out the threads, because it was pretty bad.

apart from that, it seems to be ok.

but another boosted PES member bought one, and has found it might not be completely 'level'/straight, and isnt sealing correctly.

ive lined up a rolling shell drag capri.
its 400kg lighter than the ute.
and has all the modifications (suspension, chassis, diff, cage, tubbed, etc) done to it. so i just need to drop in motor.

so im parting the ute :)

sad, but hey, bombed capri with F6 motor, powerglide and T45r = f**k yeh!
