i have a ba xr6t with CAI and a hks sqv BOV and i get dose? i want the standard shhh not tu tu tu. how can i overcome this?

sounds like your bov isnt working properly..

if its adjustable, try a softer setting or if its non adjustable a softer spring might be needed..

all good now vaccume line was split. seems a bit more sluggish? went from stanard bosh bov to this hks sqv bov, takes longer to pull from 3-4.5k but after that it pulls harder? miss my mid range, was cold tonight too so its a bit crap if it ill get worse when its 30+ degrees hmm:S

no, its gotta a way bigger valve in it and prob a harder spring, i think thats where this issue lies

unless the spring is too soft,(staying open at certain throttle)
i cant see how the car is now sluggish because of the bov??
it only releases boost pressure when the throttle is shut/ manifold vacuum..

maybe you have a boost leak?

its a country ute, the bottom intercooler line has been patched up once or twice in its time, haha im slowing nutting it out just a matter of process emillination!!

I think it's spring is too soft.. it stay's shut at full boost, but the BOV piston is floating open before there is enough boost to keep it shut from the vacuum line.

try lubing ur boost solinoid ?
