does any one know what size dish the stock XR6T psitons have?

or the dish size for any of the off the shelf replacments?
or the cc of the chamber will do.

I had enough of calling the makers of these things none of them can tell me a thing.

Hell ACL/Mahle pistons tech guy didn't even know they made forged XR6T pitsons

the atomic ones (CP) have a dish of 12cc

used in an EF in ten thou over would give
a compression 8.97:1
and 20 thou would give 9:1

I'm having some made with flat tops and will give a compression of 10.35:1

with further machining of the head we are aiming for 11:1 for my engine
I will need to remove 5cc from the chambers in the head to get this.

this is all asumming zero deck hieght and a 40 thou compressed head gasket.

using an AU head gasket would give close to .5 extra compresion

im pretty sure i calculated, that a 20' o/s eb engine, with 64cc chambers (std), and using acl race pistons, which have a 5cc dish, and using the au gasket which is around 22', it was around 10.3:1... acl quote those pistons with a std gasket to be 9.8:1.

if you were to use flat-tops, i doubt you'd need to touch the chambers to get 11:1

off the top of my head, i rekn to remove 5cc from the chambers, u'd need to machine it 26'

Can i ask why you want 11:1 comp, whats the plans for your engine??

the ACL website quotes 9.6:1 for the 5cc piston, so for that it would have been a 65cc chamber and thats what i worked off.

it's a little rough and my chambers will not be left stock anyway.

and for the 11:1 comp question. it's more a reason need then want

i'm not giving full details of the engine, other then 11:1 compression H-beam rods and forged pistons, N/A do the math

The way petrol is going the price of alcahol is not too bad ...You recoup some bad fuel milage through higher comp engine...Only issue is you need 3 times fuel delivery and change all rubber O rings etc...
