Hey lads just a question, Will XR6T piston rods go straight in a EF?? I had a search plenty of posts of people saying there "gonna" use em but none saying they fit straight in.

Cheers.

For the price of a set of xr6t rods you could prob buy forgies. Anyway i dont think the xr6t rods are much, if any, sgtronger then the ef's.

I think this may help.
I think you have to use AU pistons.

{DESCRIPTION}

It also say that the LPG rods are the same as the typhoon rods.

And they are cheap as chips too. But don't expect to push 400rwKW through them day in day out cause at the end of the day they are like toothpicks, but only slightly thicker then the petrol motor rods.

The limit for stock xr6t rods is about 330-360rwkw...
Seriously why bother? Just get your stock rods prep'd, maybe use AU rods...

If you want mega reliabtility why bother with a stock rod. Just get a set of Atomic H-beams.

because the AU rod is not better then a BA rod........(same s**t different dog)

when looking for the strongest stock 4L rod you need to look for the EF rod that has TRW on the beam. I'm not sure if the EL rods are the same or not.

lol, not a keen eye, i just remember at the time thinkin bull.s**t, they are not forged, i questioned you and you said, nope, they are forged

they are not forged man, they are a cast rod, with machined ends, a forged rod is pressed into shape and then cnc'd to the exact specs, there is no way in hell that std ef rods are forged...

a forged rod starts life as a blank piece of steel, then pressed to the shape of a conrod by metal dies, this gives it the basic shape which is tidied up with a cnc
