Id go the xr6t..... just not really a fan of the ricers..... Yes Im being narrow-minded but no I dont care.....
Plus if you had a young family or somethin you could pretend that the car is a 'family' orientated machine..... Weak I kno

The few times i've been to the drags I've come up against R33's one of which being a mates whom i raced 3 times that particular day. Each time I would beat him to 100 easily but a soon as he hit boost in 3rd he'd shoot past. I run consistent 15.1s, his best being 13.8. Now for mods, mine: 2.5" sports exh, paceys and k&n panel. His: better front mount, bigger intake, 3"exh, turbosmart BOV. Now my car is a 99AU XR6 VCT 5spd. Personally, I'd take the falcon but I guess I'm biased.
Oh yeah just thought I'd add this to try and swing ya the ford way |

Thanks everyone for your input on this.
Im most interested in the handling side, how would you rate XR6T handling on windy roads? Cheers

Decent.
Biggest complaint is they are a bit soft, nothing a decent set of dampers and some bigger swaybars couldn't fix. Depends how far you were taking it?

I would like to be able to beat cars of this pedigree without changing too much stuff.
Can it be done?

You want to beat R33 GTS-Ts and XR6Ts in an EF XR8, in both handling and power, without changing to much stuff?
No, cannot be done.

So you want a BA XR6T to handle better then a stock GTS-T?
Yes, this is possible IMO. This thread is vague as f**k.

Thanks for your advice on the XR6T.
As for the thread being vague, not sure what you mean as in the very first post I said that it was about XR6T vs R33 GTS-T handling, this is what the topic says. I just happen to own an EF XR8, didn't ask about that though.. Cheers

Corey Munday he must have traction issues a stock r33 should beat you to 100 easily. 0-100 6.18 standard. If he has mods as you describe he shoud be easily in the mid 5s and your ford wouldnt even be close to that time. If he runs 13.8 and you do 15.1 it seems like it must be a hell of difference top of 3rd to go from behind to 1.3 sec in front. Dont mean to offend but it doesnt make sense unless he has constant wheelspin. Cheers and glad to see you keep it on the track.

Hey ghia97, not offended at all. just telling ya how it is. His reaction times are pretty crap and i was getting off the line with very little wheelspin and normally getting 0.5xx reaction times, his were normally 0.9xx. So I'd have a good jump on him hence being in front at around 100. Hope that clears it up a little. Cheers Corey |

some of the quicker cars wait after the green and launch when they are ready, instead of trying to beat the car next to them
