Has anyone had trouble or know about anyone having trouble with BA GT Alarm just going off when driving along for no apparent reason and also the same car has a problem with engine runs fine and will all of a sudden start running rough and carry on. when taken to dealer and put on scan computer codes come up that car has been over reved or reached maximum revs and also that has reached 250 KMs hour. This is definately not the case. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

then it will be a T.P.S (throttle position sensor). these are located on the side of the throttle body. a fairly normal item to play up. i recomend just take it to a a local ford dealer and have them replace it. will probly cost a couple of hundred. if u want instructions on how to do it urself i can help, up to your broother i guess.
