They only ran 15.5 stock? Damn I would have thought they were a little quicker then that.

Thats bloody quick mate. just leave it how it is dude. Its like a 1700kg car and from the past reviews I've red the best magazine editors could squeeze out of one was a 15.9 secs.
I'd personally just bolt some svo gear onto the motor and be done with it. 15.0 second quarter for a barge excellent. |

I'm thinking the supercharger sounds good, i didn't want to play with the engine much, but we will see how it goes, might see mick webb down svo and see what a blot-on supercharger is worth. I've seen them for $7k for 300kw at the flywheel on an el xr8.

It seems people are talking about his car like its an 8, although it was never mentioned...... Fairlane by Tickfords were 8's, but the 6's were Fairlane Concordes.

Very wise, supercharger is quick and simple it'll be like injecting your car with steroids and you can return the beast to stock. I dare say it'll be a 13 sec. car on fairly tame boost

Just a word up, DON'T go to Mick Webb it'll be a big mistake, and it seems i'm not the only one to say this, there are many negative testimonials on his work.
Forced induction I would consider if you want 12's and 13's but low 14's you could easily achieve naturally aspirated. A cam would make a fair difference, a port of the heads, or even look at diff gears or a stall converter if you don't want to do much engine work Whoever said turbo, don't even bother unless your prepared to spend a lot of money. Similarly with the supercharger, a lot more things will needed to be upgraded including engine management, possibly fuel pump and regulator etc |

So it isnt just the Ebay rep for Mick Webb that is a WANKER.

I once got an extremely abusive PM from him on that other ford forum just because he didn't agree with my suggestions for a guys' exhaust system....too gutless to say it in front of everyone else.

Yes but a supercharger isnt just 'drive away, no more to pay' If your gonna fit one, be prepared to get 50,000km's or less before the engine needs a rebuild, depending on the hiding its been given |

Don't get into the illusion of producing the same amount of power in NA form is easier on the same capacity engine than in forced induction form, if anything if both are "set up and tuned properly" the forced induction engine is more likely to last longer.

Pete. I got the F***wit "WANKER" from Mick Webbs Ebay site send me an abusive reply because I asked this question about the $1500 GT40P heads they had for sale in Ebay Quote: "Are these the CNC ported heads or stock AU V8 type heads?" , I asked this question because anyone that knew about Ford V8s would know what I was talking about.I got this reply (Copied from Ebay messages) Quote: Item: Ford Heads GT40p (200101623261)
This message was sent while the listing was active. mickwebbsvo is the seller. If they were CNC ported they would be $10000.00 wanker If anyone does not know what I was asking about, Yella Terra CNC ported 220Kw GT40P heads out of XR's etc (nothing flash but better than stock), stock non Tickford AU heads are just standard cast ports, definitely not worth $1500.
