I have modded these motors before, id say max 180rwkw and high 13s down the quarter.

I am sure with a few mods they can punch out more than that!

You can do that with with factory AU parts, hell my T1 makes 166rwkw bog stock...

With the improvements I suggested you would be closer to 250rwkw.

I reckon I'd be around that mark if not just over in my ED! Using factory AU components.

Cant of done a too great a job modifying it then.
My scummy old Fairlane when I had it was good for 139RWKW and at that stage it was a totally bog stock E7 equipped HO motor that only had extractors , 3" exhaust , K&N filter , MSD coil , cap etc.
Standard cam , HO inlet etc.
180 RWKW using good gear is a walk in the park.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Hi boostedvt.
Not sure I did have a talk to them.
But I would expect with head work, cam intake and tune 180 would be easy. I cant remember what you power you were looking for though

Scaffy on this forum fitted a Trickflow topend kit to his EL XR8, without the tuning capability he has now with the QH he made 201rwkw and ran 13.1@105mph

Damn that's a good result. That's the sort of power I am after or just a bit quicker. I think I might have to look into trick flow gear.

Scaffy is a pretty good peddler, and his is manual. If you're serious about going the TFS route I'd still stick with the combo I posted on the previous page

Im not an expert with these by any means, but my years of researching, books, etc pretty much sum up that the right combo will get you there, easy. Ive only just started fiddling with my engine... A bog stock (pretty much) EF xr8, ho, e7 etc... But its fair quick, chirps into 3rd... My previous car was a au s3 220, it was faster, but engines not too dissimmilar... El should be lighter too?

What about just dumping a crate motor in?

Question, when drag racing/ qm, do you want bottom end or top end?
Also, I wanted to take my au to mick webb... Is he still around, any good? SVO badges look good I reckon.

Thanks for giving me ideas too.

What are your targets? Because without knowing, we have no clues as to what will work.

Well, could you take my ef as an example? Besides the intake, it should be same car, right?

What would I have to do to see, say, 350 at the rears?
And, keep a good, low revving top speed?

Cheers.

350hp? Basically the build Dave/BOTTLEDUP suggested.
