just was wondering what my engine is windsor, cleveland in eb 5L xr8. and can u get gilmer drive belts for them

its a windsor, and wtf do you want a gilmer drive for? the serpentine setup on them is fine

you could probably get a gilmer kit for them, but it'd mean converting all the accessories to V-belt drive, and changing the water pump to a standard rotation unit..... not worth the hassle IMO

Yeah they sound tuff, but i think it would drive you nuts after a while, i think they're more suited a a Rod or Sunday cruiser.
You can cut the noise of them down by drilling small holes through the ribs though. |

No never used one personally, thought about it for the XD a long time ago... I know guys who have had them though.
The noise does drive you nuts after a while, nice when they cruise by though. |

i work on the mines so i only drive it once a fortnight so it wont bother me i hope

It is incorrectly recorded (by wheels mag in the first instance) as a cleveland unit because it was built at the cleveland plant, but it is definately a windsor.
