A full diagnostic scan would be a good start. The memory codes may have the answer.

Use the site search function with something like "diagnostic scan" or "fault code reading" or similar. Or go to a sparky or Ford and ask them to run one.

You gotta give us more detail mate. Is the tank full?
It sounds like a fuel pump problem. If the pump has been changed by someone previously they may have put the fuel sock on backwards. This will cause it to suck air at anything under 1/3-1/4 of a tank.

no the tank is not full it does it when its low but surely it cant be just because its low otherwise i wouldnt be able to run the tank to empty if i couldnt make it to a gas station so something must be wrong right? so should i check if the pumps the right way around?

If the fuel pump is not properly fitted this can happen, my mates XR8 did this too when the tank was low going around corners!

Yeah a crack in the coil will only affect running when going around corners

will do if coil is loose or something like a loose wire touching the crack when cornering. a crack in the coil will also 90% of the time cause the no starting when car is warm, due to coil overheating.....

Mate just had this problem. may be unrelated to 08ballahs problem but worth a shot

Dont know about a chip man, mates one had massive crack running down the side of it... was way munted. may be worth a go though if you can easily find one to test with
