Just wanting to know how hard it is to put new injectors in and how to do it? They're FMS 24 blue tops replacing my 19's.
Also got the pod adaptor and 3'' silicon joiner to hook up the MAF, as there's no flange.
How long should it take?

Thanks

It is pretty straight forward, basically undo the 4 bolts which hold the injector rail to the lower intake manifold, pull the rail off and replace the injectors. The upper intake, TB etc can get in the way but you should still be able to do it without removing them.

"gunit: what combo are you running to get 186rwkw?" id guess hes running a spatial time distrupter that enables him to slap the face of the e7te heads designer...

coz u cant get that power off e7 heads! or can you?

gunit? please oh please tell us the secret behind your ability to get from point a to point b quicker than... um... us.

just the gt40p heads, manifold, cam rr's etc. need to change the stock injectors to the 24's as i think they're just about maxed out. so it shouldnt be that hard.
will i need to get it tuned again if i do the MAF injector combo? or will it run sweet?

what MAF do you have. You may need to get a new sample tube for it if youre switching to 24's

I think that if your using the MAF already calibrated for 24s you wont need to retune unless the unichip is there for running 19lb/hr injectors on a 24lb/hr MAF then you will have to. Or possibly just remove the unichip. But then power will probably drop off a bit.

funnily enough thats exactly how my car is set up.

may also have some ignition advance/retardation a bit off in a few palces too.. unless they are currently off(because your engine is at different load compared to air entering) then goin to maf/24s might correct it..

see how ya go.. so many mustang dudes in teh states are hapy with stock ecu n maf/injector change..

I'm not going to be running aftermarket chip, I got the maf that is calibraed to the injectors to avoid using one....should be fine without it, maybe recoup some of the cost by getting rid of it, wont have to tune it then either
