Hey fordmodders!
I'm back in the blue oval again! 302 legends please help, my previous 302 was a budget build centered around 1.6YT rockers, GT40P heads and a mild cam. I sold that complete motor *insert small back story here* and was told it went hard in an EF Fairmont. My next project isnt budget focused and I'm aiming much higher this time. Assuming tuning, etc. to suit, Is, 350fwkw N/A achievable with alloy heads, intake and cam that keeps the revs below 6500 rpm? Non-stroked Standard Block Heads I'm considering are AFR185/Kaase P38 head (if still avail) Trickflow/RPM2 Intake And a cam that pulls from say (3000/3500 - 6200) Long Ceramic Extractors, 4>2>1 and twin 2.5 crossed then ending twin 2.25 I'm worried those heads are too big and need 7000+rpm to get there hence people going AFR165/TW and making (say...) 270fwkw I was hoping to keep block standard but would be open to forged internals (as long as it remains 5L). I don't want to use a Dart block. If I did, I'd make a high revver and the post is pointless haha. Is this a "have my cake and eat it too" scenario? What setup are people running for this power N/A within a 6000-6500 max rpm and ensuring it's not a slug below. *driveline aside*

Just for an update,
I have been checking out the Mustang Forums for some extra information on 302 builds. Why are they so obsessed with carburettors in the US? It looks to be quite difficult making that HP at <6000rpm. Most are suggesting adding a stroker. Same power levels but achieved lower in the rev range. I looked at most builds and anything with high HP wants revs, making it far less streetable. Similar to the BOSS 302. Just a quick topic bump, can anyone chime in here? and has anyone used the Kaase P38 head combo?

You won't make your power goals from a 5.0L under 6500 if you stay N/A. You'll get close with the following:
AFR 195 heads 58cc chamber 347 bottom end, flat top pistons 10.8-11:1 comp Ported Victor 5.0, TFS Box R or T3 intake 80mm TB 90mm Lightning MAF 42lb injectors Lunati Voodoo 20350712 hydraulic roller cam 1.72 rockers 1-3/4" 4-1 headers twin 2.5" system

Thanks for your reply mate.
I've purchased a stroker engine from a T series (without an intake). And have decided to retain the GT40P heads and fit a supercharger. Quite different from the original plan but I feel I'll reach the result I've been chasing without such a large investment. How does the T3 intake compare to the Victor and TFS?
