351W in XW was 290hp. 351C 2V in XY, XA was 250hp, and 351 4V in XY, XA was 300hp. the 4V had 11.0:1 comp ratio.

That 351W was also fitted with a 4 barrel carby, pretty sure only available in the GT and Fairlane of that era, early 351W had slightly bigger valves and ports than most early and onwards 302W plus later 351W.

Unlike the Cleveland in Australia in most cases (except GT) it was fitted with a 2 barrel carby until XC was released with a Thermoquad spread bore four barrel carby, but it had to comply with emissions standard ADR27A which killed output pretty hard, 4.9L 151kw(202HP) and 5.8L 162kw(217hp)

I think XA/XB stock 351 was 260hp factory released specs, I also think cam specs were the same for 2V headed 2 and 4 barrel (GT 300HP) carby engines for XB, I don't think(?) XA GT was available with anything else other than 4V headed engine.

I got those specs out of several w/shop manuals. So I can only repeat what is printed in what I have, but gives basic idea of output.

No probs, wasn't trying to show you up, I remember the output from my XB owners manual , but it came out factory with a 302, I also read up and compared a lot of factory cam specs, I remember the cam specs for 4V was different to 2V headed for XB, XB's only got the imported 4V's in the early models.
I wouldn't be surprised if factory output was way off the mark, considering what the cam specs were for a 4V and 2V, plus the major port and valve size differences, factory specs say 300hp for both 2V and 4V headed XB GT's.
