windsor=1967-1970 era fords in capacities of 289, 302 and 351 cubes, and 1991-2002/3 era E/A series fords in capacities of 5L/5.6L
cleveland=1970-1982 fords, capacities of 302 and 351 cubes, not really an ideal swap into an E-series cos of the emissions hassles

Will a Clevo fit into an E-Series? Since the later E's came with injected Windsors it's a no brainer that they will fit, but arn't the Clevelands larger?
Also, 302 and 351's are the same block arn't they just different stroke to get the extra capacity?

Yes, Clevos are larger and the 351W block is a bit different to the 302W (taller deck height for one).

i just put a 351 Cleveland with a c4 into a 1992 eb falcon
not much room and i will not be doing it again unless you have alot of $ to get thing made i would not do it . I would just get a 92 xr8 motor and box 302w and put it in you will save alot of $

I've seen two E-series Falcons(EA and EF) with Clevelands in them and they just fall in there. So do 351w's for that matter and they have a taller deck height than the Cleveland!
Why did you have so much trouble?

Pete.

Walker,
The EA used a Thermoquad on petrol of all things. Yeah I know...surprised the hell out of me too! he said it had something to do with his '88 model having CFI. Personally I don't see why...it still had to meet the Emissions stds of that year and he certainly didn't come to Orbital for an ADR test because I would have worked on it. Something tells me it was a case of "not what you know....."
The EF is a drag car so no rego to worry about.
The EB's with 51 windsors...one had EFI the other had straight gas.
So 351c92EB, what can I say except...great description!?!
The guys over here reckon it was a piece-o-piss. The only thing they needed to do was trim the edge of the K-member to clear the High energy pan and modify one pipe on some off-the-shelf pacemaker headers and use a small diameter gear reduction starter for the cars that used drivers side starter like a C4 or Toploader.

Cheers,
Pete.

A f**k Thermoquad?
Was it actually a case of throw it in and they'll never know?
I just find it hard to believe that plastic piece of s**t passed in 83 let alone in an 88 model car.

Well that can be true and not true but what problems did YOU have? For the benefit of everyone here, how did you go about it and what problems did you have?
Just saying it was too difficult and you won't be doing it again tells us nothing.

Cheers,
Pete.

You bet,
Mind you I know a guy who gets thermoquads to go really well.
The small primaries make ADR tests quite easy to achieve good results too.
The drive cycle involved is really quite easy...most cars blow it on start up and/or the shed test but pass the drive cycle itself.
If this EA had done an ADR test it likely would have passed. The Shed test it would have p****d in because there is no returning fuel to heat up the tank fuel.
