I have my ED 5.0 in stoarge a good hour away from me and I usually
go and fire it over once a week or so when I get time..

I hadn't been round for two weeks and when I went to start it up ( I always completley disconnect the battery) the fuel pump makes the usual noise but even with half a tank of fuel it won't fire over..Like it is out of fuel...I had no tools on me to really check anything but I remember that the 6cyls had a problem with the TFI module's although if I recall the 5.0's have a different setup?

I was going to call RACQ but since the car is unregistered and the interior is in pieces I don't think they will look at it... :D

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

When jump starting it with another car you may need a booster pack also for extra kick, ( sounds weird but these 5.0's need heaps of juice) as I have a 5.0 wreck I will strip soon which I needed to move around, the battery was dead and when I used my 5.0 to start it, it only turns the motor, when I added a booster pack on the car it it started almost instantly  .

If on the other hand it wont even turn the starter keep tapping the plastic under the hand brake as you turn the key

This could be your problem..

Check the CTRL fuse, may be smartlock enabled. Check the fuse with a multimeter, or just replace it, its a red 10a job

as said check the ctrl fuse or if the interior light works dont bother (same fuse)
if thats good check for spark.

my elxr8 did the same thing, turned out the tfi module died while the car was sitting in the shed.
