Havent had a chance to do anything.Got back from Indy on the Wednesday night and left Thursday morning in the truck to cart grain (bloody harvest season).3 & a 1/2 weeks 13,000kms within a 200km radius of home then getting caught up with our own work and now starting our harvest.
Car has been sitting in the shed with a occasional start up to keep the battery charged up.Plan is a new diff in the new year 3.9's and dyno tunning in bris vegas now ive found someone who can do it maybe?.I could do it over the net with old mate from the states if I could get the tweecer to datalogue. Hows the ute going now,any increase in power with tunning or have'nt you done any more.Did your mate get his engine done with the GT40P's

Ah i hope it all goes well for ya mate, the 3.9's will go great.
My ute is still running sweet mate, hasnt let me down once and still puts a smile on my face on every drive. Old mate who bought the heads had a bit of a crash hehe, failed to stop at a stop sign and ended up with an ugly front end with no insurance . Oh well, too bad for him i say, he's still keen to get it all fixed and get those bits onto the donk, so i spose only time will tell.

Update:
Have'nt had a chance to get any tunning done with the tweecer so I put my other ecu and chiptorque chip back in.Was'nt running fantastic so had a re-check of things and found I was'nt getting wot, so had to remake a few things to achieve wot. Spent today going through everthing-base timming, isc, tps etc and test drives.A/F ratio showwed to be ok through the aem sensor 14.3 @ idle and around 11.5 to 12.5 under acceleration and only leanig out to 14.7 on de-acceleration. Might stick with this tunning option instead of forking out the $'s to get the tweecer tuned.Maybe a ecu and tweecer up for sale in the near future.

Na Jeff, lack of funds have kept things the same.
Think i'll go bigger with the maf from 70mm to a 76mm C&L one.Diff with 3.9 gears is still on the adjenda asap. Been following your progress, good to see the results.Wish I was closer to a dyno to get a readout to add to the update

Ohh well, the car cant always be the highest priority.
I think you'll find the 3.9 gears will give you an awesome gain, will compliment the cam much better. Cheers mate, just waiting for September to come so i can hit the strip again, this time with the Hoosier DOT's on board.

Finally got the 3:9's and a new centre.
Obviously i'll need to get the speedo corrector, but my question is has anyone had trouble with the speed limiter after changing gears.

Nope, but then i am after market ECU, If there is an issue, best way to fool it is as follows.
Get the green gear fro the box, and an XD falcon transducer. This will give correct reading for speedo, then intercept the speed signal from dash to ECU with a corrector and set it as if the stock gears are in it. This solved the issue with my auto from changing gears too late, and kept the speedo accurate Cheers Brett

Obviously i'll need to get the speedo corrector, but my question is has anyone had trouble with the speed limiter after changing gears. The only problem I had with the speed limiter was it cutting out when it said 180 which was actually 153 with the 3.73s. It was very frustrating. To get around it on the drag strip it was just a matter of cutting one of the wires coming out of the eec (I think 58 but it would be well worth checking) and that disabled the speed limiter but effected something else which I can't remember what it is now

Yes that will be the case if the signal is intercepted before the dash, not after it. Thats why i suggest that you correct the speedo mechanically then intercept the signal from the dash to the ecu electronically. If you do it this way, theoretically you can raise the limiter by telling the ECU you have the equilivant to say 2.92 gears or even 2.77.
Cheers Brett
