Sounds like you have done a great job. Have you thought about custom tuned length extractors that way you can get them matched to the cam?

How much for the GT40's, they would go nice with my stock 5.0, now that i have decided to build a mental motor. Also did you get the MSD fixed, mine was repaired by rocket and it was trouble free for the last 20000k until i did the coilpack conversion.

Who are you getting your parts from over there?
Can you fit the 185s straight on with standard pistons or is clearance an isse? I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm guessing you aren't running standard pistons.

I'll post where I got the parts later just in case there's any probs, dont want to give anyone a bad recomendation.
185's wont bolt straight on with stock pistons, the 165's will without issues.I've got speed pro pistons so could've gone either way with head choice.

You have done so much all round work on that car, that I think you should ditch the XR8 badges and make up your own model
like a GT8-R or something new. That bonnet is just the sex. If you ever sold it I would sell my organs to raise the funds to buy it. well the non essential ones anyway. Anyone need a new apendix? no?

Thanks mate, keeps me broke LOL .Badges stay as some wanker might mistake it for a monaro which would really piss me off.
Bonnet was a lot of work but turned out great, nothing like going for a cruise and watching people break their necks to have a look. Not in need of any organs even though I've had my appendix out, kidneys getting a bit stuffed thou from drinking. Was trying to get to the all ford day on th Gold Coast but can't get there till Monday in preparation for Indy. Should organise a get together for Ford modders Indy Weekend?

Lower section of the intake is finished being ported,so everthing is being posted back from the states this week(heads, intake, rocker cover, roller lifters etc).Ended up getting another ecu that is tweecer compatible so will be changing from chiptorque to tweecer for tuning.Ended up getting pacemaker extractors (ceramic coated).Been cleaning up the upper plennum, just needs a tidy up now the bulk of material is removed.
