when building a 347 stroker does anything need to be done to the block for the stroker kit to fit

really depends on how fast you are going to make it rev and what type of compression you are going to have, really if its going to be resonable stock then it shouldent need any mods but if your going to turn it real fast id go for acid bath cracktest decked & line bored and of course a manditory stud kit shouldnt need 4 bolt bottom end unless you are going real crazy with it as im building a 393 stroker that will have 11.1 compression and rev to 8000rpm and they said 4 bolt isnt needed with todays machining and expertise but could be an option if you dont trust your engine builder.and some times im led to believe that the bottom of the cylider needs to be machined off to clear the rods in some applications

so the crank, rods and pistons will fit the standard block without it being machined

well ide be measuring the bores before ordering any pistons or you will have to do some machiningand the deck heights have to be taken into consideration over the rods im led to believe but you really need to speak to a A1 mechanic and not listen to me bahahaha but seriouslly seak profeshional advise its not some thing you can slap together in an arvo.

as far as im aware a small amount of grinding must be done on the bottom of the block to allow for clearence of the rod bolts.
