Have an XB 351 coupe that i intend to install a new cam and lifters.
It recently bent and broke a push rod. On runnining it with the rocker cover off, noticed that some of the rockers hardly move up and down indicating , i presume, worn cam lobes. It also runs fluufy ? with not much guts.

Have changed chev and holden cams before but not a Cleveland.,
Is there a link for procedure/tips/hints or can anyone give me a quick run down ? Any special tools/pullers required ?

Thanks

you will need a puller to get the harmonic balancer off. and maybe one of those slidehammer tools to get the lifters out. otherwise it's just straight forward. also, look at the cam bearings while it's out. good chance if the cam is flogged, they will be too.

Thanks. I'll organise a puller and one of those tools for getting out the lifters. For sure if i don't have one they'll be stuck.
