Got a simple question to those who have fitted gear drives to their cars.. I brought some jp performance geardrives model jp5703 dual idler apparently too. Motor is new and just ran in cam. I can just vaguely hear the geardrives. . Arent they supposed to be loud and whiney....... Do they get louder over time!!!!!.. I didnt fit them . They guy who fitted them built my motor.. Like to know what u guys reckon.....

If they are fitted and setup correctly they are slightly rattly but quiet at idle and get louder with more revs.
The noisy ones havent had the oil squirter fitted for them and are running basically dry. Not good for long term.

There used to be a guy who lived around the corner from me that had a 308 Torana with a gear drive in it.....he didn't drive it much....you could hear it long before you could see it....would be unbearable on a long drive.
