G'day everyone, I have a question about the heads on my 351c black. Just of recent I noticed it was running a bit rough on startup until it reached full temp,So I checked the plugs, done a lead resistance test, played with air fuel mix, but no joy. While I had the leads off I thought I'd pull a rocker cover off just to have a look, low and behold their was plenty of moisture under their. On closer inspection after wiping the cylinder head I noticed tiny droplets of water seeping through in between the intake and exhaust valves on three of the banks, What I want to know is if this is a common thing and is it worth repairing or replacing. The motor is stock apart from a mild cam. Any help would be greatly appreciated Cheers!!!

Depends on where the water is seeping, the head could be cracked. They will usually crack between the valves.
Was it using any water it was running rough?

It started to lose a bit of water, about 1/4 of a litre within a week. I travel just over 400kms a week to work, and with the warm weather we have been having lately I thought it might be justified.Temp gauge has almost been hitting the 200F mark, that’s with having the thermo fans coming on early. You might find this interesting, I recently was told by a friend that ford had produced a batch of Cleveland heads which were porus so they were apparently snapped up buy a single person and then sold off to speed shops and what not, I'm not sure of what year this would have happened or what quantities of heads there were or even if it is true, but it does make you wonder.
