Here are some pics of the leads, as I said, the passenger side front cylinder is the tightest but still has about a cm clearance from the pipe at the closest point, even though the photo makes it look like it is nearly touching because of the angle of the shot.

And yeah plugs shouldn't burn if touching but mine have a habit of melting/burning anything even remotly close.

Can you run those 90deg leads on the E7/Genie combo? I dont wanna buy a set of goof 135deg leads and have to replace them in a few months when the new heads go on.

You could bend the pipe a bit which would help on that front passenger one but I couldn't be bothered. I was just running the standard E-series V8 Genies, but those pics are of the pacemakers.

I have been told that running 90 degree leads with the standard heads is fine but have not tried them. BTW I have a set of 10mm Top gun race leads with 90 degree ends if you want a cheap second hand set in good condition.

Mm.. Topgun. Not a big fan any more after having new topgun race leads fall apart in my hand.

Define cheap and i'll consider it :D

Anything has to be better than what appears to be the original leads on the car. LOL

Yeah Topgun and Eagle have both had that problem, but usually the race wire sets are not assembled when they come so it all comes down to how much care is taken to assemble them, obviously the machine made ones can lack a bit of assembly qualty. These leads were $140 not made up, would think around $50 plus postage would be fair seeing they didn't do much work (car was off the road for constant upgrades ). I don't know why I got another set really, when I changed the extractors I just ordered new everything which was a bit of a waste.

Thanks Lads,

Those pics are useful EDXR.
I may have more of a problem depending on the headers.
I was going to use Pacemaker Tri-y's on 351w into XE. I figured a set of 40p's would be a cheap addition to swap with the E7's before I put it in.
If anyone in the perth area has a 40p head off an engine I can dummy one of the pacemaker headers up to it?

Cheers,
Pete.
