a 347 on NOS is wild, lol. A std stroke 351 with decent heads will go a long way to being a better daily driver if thats wat you want..........and be cheaper to build

you sure can. you need an explorer lower of a late model F150 lightning truck. Go to www.corral.com, they come up on there everynow and then.

Once you have this lower you can use std explorer upper. I'm not sure about fuel rails but thats an easy fix. It'd look like a std 302 to the untrained eye. Even all the ancillaries bolt up no worries however you'll need a longer belt

As far as i know the 5.0 computer will still run the 351 but you'd have to check on that one

I called up a place to see if a Boss motor would fit in the EF (just to see if it would be worth it), and they said from having nothing to do the job to fully installed & working, I would be lookeing at about $20k.

That was the end of my investigations into that. :D

Ok lads,

A 5.4 will fit...I've measured it up. Bonnet clearance is an issue though.
A 351 also fits....I've worked on a couple. Bonnet clearance is an issue with some 351 intakes and not for others.
The stock 5.0 EEC will work on any size engine. With TwEECer it can also run the 5.4 or other distributorless engine.
As for keeping EFI on the 351 what's this...chopped liver???

Now if you want my opinion on which engine. I say 351 every time but only if you don't mind buying some other parts and modifying a coupla things. Bottom line is the 351 is a more durable engine and it is in fact cheaper to build a stroker 351(392ci) than a stroker 302 and it will be more durable again than the stroker 302 and make waaay more torque.
If you want to fit a modular engine I'd go for a 4.6 over the 5.4. An '03 Cobra or the current 3V 4.6 from the stang are good choices.

Pete.

Depends what you term "f**k around" really doesn't it? Personally I call it fun. Of course an E-series Falcon won't require pwr steer pump mods as there is much more room in that area.
Depends how much you value a more durable, torquey engine I suppose?

Pete.
