just wondering if anyone thinks its possible to fit a 5.4 3v or 4v in an ef?

well i plan on fitting a carby fed turbo set up v8 in an ef, was wondering about a 5.4 instaed of a 302 windsor, which motor would be heavier?

wait.. you want to go for a carb V8.. and you're considering the 5.4?

I think its been established before that a BOSS 5.4 will physically fit in the engine bay.
but you will have bonnet clearance issues, likely need customised extractors and a whole list of other considerations.

I have seen a BOSS 5.4 in an XG and it was a very tight fit, just enough room between the shock towers to squeeze it in. By the looks of it, it had custom extractors and a big mofo bonnet bulge at least twice as high as a BA/BF BOSS bulge lol.

I don't know how much difference there is in engine bay size between a XG and EF though, but if you have skills, time, patience and deep pockets you can fit it in :P

I do also beleive that it will be nose heavy-as this was the case when a boss was put in an AU. cant see why an E series wouldnt be nose heavy too.

Will handle like Noahs Ark, but yeah sure got for it if you have pockets deep enough like a whores C***
