Ive had the Lane back a day and issue number 1 has struck. Im trying to remove my harmonic balancer as the weight has detached from the pulley. Ive tried to remove the 4 1/2mm with little success. Ive got 2 off but the other 2 as close to being stripped. Anyone else had issues with removing the bolts, also any advice on how to hold the crank from spinning would be great.
Cheers, Justin

WHat 4.5mm bolts are you talking about?
If you are talking of the bolts holding the bottom pulley to the balancer , put a ratchet on them and give them a firm tap to crack them loose. If you crank is turning put a socket and breaker bar onto the crank bolt and wedge it against the sway bar etc to hold it tight.

Single hex sockets/ impact sockets may help if your removing front pulley ??
You'll need a harmonic puller .. About $50....

Yeah im trying to remove the front pulley. Ive found a balancer thanks to Mat (EVL098) so ive just gota go get it and fit it. No, not happy at all with the mate ey, but with 460k on the clock it was just one of those things that had to let go. No point in playing the blame game, just build a bridge and get over it. LMAO!!!

Leave the pulley on and remove the whole balancer first.

Motor will probaly come out soon anyway as it has a few major leaks. Got the balancer off with no issues and a little more hammering and WD got the pulley bolts off. Cheers for the assistance.
