does the EB windsor manual use the same gear box as a 6 manual? like a EA manual box? cheers

v8 into ea need to be engineerd as no ea's had v8's in them...that'd be ure 3rd q i'm guessing :P

Na diffrent length spiggot shft's .. In U.S as cheap measure they cut them back to fit...

V8 T5's are different both internally and externally. The torque capacity of the six cyl T5 is also much less than the V8 one.
Apart from the obvious mechanical and wiring differences an EA-D only needs the V8 K-member to convert it to V8.
Have worked on a few 5.0 conversions on EA's and B's including a 5.8 EB. None needed engineers certificates(in W.A.) but all were required to use factory fuel injection although I have seen one EA with a 351w on LPG and a 351C '88 EA with a Thermoquad!?
BTW a 5.0,5.8 or 7.5L F-series engine can be installed in a EA-D for low cost using the original speed density 5.8 EEC plugged into the original multipoint(CFI's can also be done with a little more wiring changes) six cyl harness with very small wiring changes.

Getting it engineered shouldn't be a problem, as the EB's body is quite similar to EA's. Street Machine Magazine did a 5.0 conversion on their EA Sony Scorcher project. Make sure you upgrade to the V8 spec brakes, Suspension, Steering and possibly diff as well. (not 100% sure on that one)

didn't the V8's have bigger brakes and taller front springs to take in account the extra weight of the windsor?

Whats wrong with Street Machine magazine? :P
