what would you pay for a 89 mustang 5.0l manifold nad would it breathe better than a 92 eb 5.0l manifold?

Unless it is something outrageous like a Mustang Cobra or similar they will be exactly the same. The good old (or maybe not so good) HO manifold like Vic said.

yeh it would be the same as a 92 eb, coz the cobra didnt come out till 93.

on the subject of V8 manifolds, wich one is the best factory manifold???
and why. how well do the US ones fit the falcons?

Ford Australia just used the bog standard HO motor from the U.S. Mustangs etc which popped up around the late 80's I think. The U.S. then had the Cobra manifolds, such as the '93 and '94 intakes on their Cobra Mustangs. Then in 1997 Ford U.S. released the Ford Explorer SUV's which had their new Explorer manifolds.
So about three main types.
The best flowing was the Cobra - the '93 slightly outflowing the '94, then the Explorer quite close behind in terms of flow and then the HO manifold which flowed the least.

what are the explorer and cobra manifolds like to fit to falcons with our air box on the left side?

The upper side of the manifold can be rotated so it keeps the same orientation. Should be no problems there!

They are reversible so you can maintain your intake piping on the side that they are on. EGR, throttle body and everything matches up perfectly to the Australian setup.
There's also the GT40 manifold which I think slightly outflowed the cobra and the explorer

I've got one fitted to my EF, bolts on no problems, just need to run a few vacuum lines around, lose the water pipes to the EGR spacerand make your own throttle cable mounting, easy...

Good question - not really sure. I had a look at this link but it doesn't get as specific as you'd like, in fact all it says is "tuned 8 trumpet inlet manifold":

intersting read that one.

from that i can only assume it was a manifold designed for that engine.
i have seen one in person upclose and it looks very much different to the HO manifold and the explorer you have for sale.

i'm trying to find out as much as posible about the 250kw 5.6L engines. as i have a customer who want a little work done. I'm not keen on going into it with out first know whats already there.

so any facts would be a great help

Yeah its a custom manifold designed for that specific engine. Never seen any flow specs but by just looking at one you can see it would flow really well. Trickflow has a similar style manifold now, the Box-R series manifolds as shown below.
