K&N airfilter
AU XR snorkel Decent leads Good quality plugs Should get rid of most of the 500 Or save a few more $$$ ($1500 - $2000) and go for pacemaker/genie "tri-y" style headers, and all the above. Will give more power/economy depending on you right foot.

1) Underdrive Pulleys
2) K&N Filter (panel filter is usually the most effective option but a pod filter can also be utilised providing it is shielded from the heat, still has a source of cold air, and is mounted to an apporpiate MAF bracket or adaptor. 3) Nothing beats a good old service, engine oil, oil filter, tranny oil, fuel filter, etc. That should see 500 bucks gone and maybe a little more, have fun.
