the explorer manifolds come up fairly often on ebay, also have a look through the for sale threads on the ford forums you will find them, lots of head options available just depends on what you want to spend.

if you have the HO does it mean you have the e7 heads? and getting a carby style manifold and put a 4 barrel throttlebody on it to run a shaker, will the ecu allow me to leave the maf out? i doubt it but dosnt husrt to ask..

yeah good chance it will have the E7 heads, there is a few guys running carbie set ups, so I guess it can be done.

Yep it will have the joke that E7 heads are. Unfortunately you still have to run a MAF even if you go to a carb style throttle body.

bugger!D: so, will porting do these heads anygood? is there a way to sit the maf ontop of the throttle body, inside the air filter? may not give enough clearance with the bonnet? engines in a cortina see..

Not worth the time and money required to port E7's.
Go for GT40P heads off an AU at minimum. Much better off spending the coin there.
