If you have that kind of cash, its a relative bargain!
The Series 2 and 3 AU XR's aren't a bad looking car...
You can see where he's spent the cash on that car anyway, and for 30k it woould almost be worth scrapping it for parts!

sorry to say but au's s**t all over ef-el in every aspect of driving enjoyment. xr's and tickford products look very smart and streamlined.
No I wouldn't buy that clapper, engine to highly strung (modified) to be a reliable proposition.

They should s**t over any EF/EL's in their driving dynamics. They are the next model along the line...
The XR Falcons look alright in the AU's, not much else does though.
But the EL XR's still looks so much tougher.
I couldn't exactly say that the AU's are much more streamlined, with a rounded a***, rounded front end, and a bubble roof, but each to their own i guess.
As long as everyone's happy with the car they've got it doesn't really matter.

How is it a too highly strung motor?
It is only 300rwkw with good engine management, and over 6L of displacement.

I agree with "EL XR8", it has the all the money spent in the right places, it would be a big difference if it was 300rwkw using stock 5.0L(maybe even the 5.6L) bottom end.

"363 windsor making 300 RWkw. DART block so potential for a lot more power. AFR heads, solid roller cam, scat crank and rods, yella terra roller rockers, victor junior manifold fuel injection etc, motec computer"

I've always liked the look of the AU XR's I cant stand EL/EF's.

Its definatly not a highly strung motor but I always cringe when ppl put solid cams in road cars, unless you are keen to readjust lash or pay someone to do it fairly regularly then might not be for you.

I think we can agree that the looks of the AU are a personal preference. You either love it or hate it in most cases. There isn't any in between.

Agreed as well.

It seems that you can't do anything to kill a DART block. {DESCRIPTION}

Seems like a relatively good buy.
