So after going through and setting the Tps and plugging the ics in it goes straight back to about 1000rpm. Could the ics itself be screwed. It's not the original ics/tv unit. The th is from an au I think and the ics is from an EL

What's the TPS volts at idle?
You should use the EL type ISC valve. |

Will have to check in the morning...my alternator decided it had enough and took its bat and ball and p****d off.
So the ICS im using is the EL...but just so I have this right in my mind...the ICS is nothing but an electronic choke of sorts except it only deals with the air?

This is a good view of how an ISC Valve works..... |

ok so after getting fisted by a big black guy and forking out the money for a new alternator....the TPS at idle is dead on 98....tried setting it all again and once I plug in the ISC the revs go straight back to about 1000.
Out of interest is it possible to put the gasket on the wrong way on the ISC?...or could it just be buggered

They are known to get full of crap inside. Can give them a good clean out with Carb cleaner and/or compressed air. Failing that, they are cheap and plentyful at your local wrecker!y

ok cool so it wont hurt it if I drop the air intake and squirt the carby clean directly into it?...or is that not advisable

It's supposed to have two if you still have the BTR automatic in the Tincorna.
