Hi All, While trawling the usual crap of Trademe, i came across a set of cheap Pacemaker extractors. Auction says they are to suit XA B C etc 302. My question is, will they fit my E series 302?? I remember someone saying something about space restrictions, and looking at the factory headers, there ain't a hell of a lotta room. Here is the auction anyway, let me know if they will fit or not, plus's minuses etc etc, as for the price i would quite like to snap them up.

XA-E V8's were Cleveland's.

either way, they'll likely have fitment issues around the steering or similar.

Ah bummer, Oh well, thought i better ask anyway, as they are cheap enough.
On another note, What model Pacies would i look at buying new?? Any other brands that are cheaper but do the same job? I'm really looking at upgrading as the system i have now is really not doing any favours. Looking at the rear pipe on the standard headers, i'm surprised any exhaust gasses can flow through there. and my main exhaust has all sorts of dodgy welding from the previous owner. |

Yeah, i spotted on eBay that they are about $900, so thats about 1200 kiwi
![]() I have heard Pacies give a nice sound, but surely the exhaust would contribute to the sound, not the headers? what sort of price do Genies usually go at? |

Hey mate, give these guys a buzz and see what price they can do for you.
STA Parts {DESCRIPTION} They're like one of the biggest V8 parts suppliers up here in Auckland, and do heaps of other stuff too. They have the PH4000's in their catalog but you'll have to contact them for a price. Dealt with them heaps of time for parts for my 6 and they've been pretty good. Or you could have a chat with these guys, Autobend {DESCRIPTION} They do exhausts, headers, tips etc. They hooked me up with the exhaust and tip for my EF, good guys, but they are pretty expensive at times. They do the 3" systems for V8's EB onwards, not 100% sure if they would be the same on the Lane's and LTD's but im guessing it is? They have the Ph4000's in their catalog too. Another brand you could try is Coby, made in NZ, over in Hamilton i think. They do headers and exhausts etc, their headers seem pretty cheap (well for my 6 they were only $400 chrome coated brand new) so they might have something to suit your application |

Would be good if they did man cause thats a bloody bargain, very cheap compared to the price that Coby charges brand new, would easily be around $700+ mark in chrome. I also came across those last night on Trade Me while i was looking for some windsor parts for the 351w sitting in my garage now
![]() ![]() Going by other brands like Pacemaker, the extractors they do are listed as EB-EL V8 with AU V8's being a different part number probably due to different engine bay design and other factors like the steering shaft etc.. Might be best to give Coby a call and confirm with the manufacturers themselves - i think this is their number - (07) 8491765 ![]() |
