I'm new on this site and building a Au xr8 ute into a bit of a weekend/rocket, at the moment i'm starting to do some engine mods can anyone tell me if i need to have the intake reonator or not and if i will gain or loose from removing it ? :)

I don't think it is necessary to remove it, but I did with my XR8 and blocked it off with a Tickford centre cap.

Thanks mate for your help I actually just got back from taking it for a run with it blokes off and couldn't tell if it made any difference so I guess I'll leave it on !!
