Maybe you could be a bit more specific about your car and the fault?

easy way to find it is to spary some thing flamble around where the leak is to find it when the engine picks up revs/ changes note then u have found the leak spray every where eg inlet manifold pcv system ect

best thing for finding intake manifold leaks is aerostart.... just go easy with it cos saying it's volatile is a bit of an understatement

What happened before the car started running like a pig - did it backfire?
Does it come back to life under full throttle or does it feel like cylinders are missing when the revs pick up?

OK - so it is an air leak for sure - did it backfire before it started running bad (My NL did this and blew the cap off the spare vacuum port on the underside of the upper intake manifold)
I would start looking at the condition of all your vacuum hoses first.

Mine did exactly the same thing. I think that would be a good place to start !

Grab an air hose and hold it to your ear, with other end trace around induction listening for leaks. While engine runing...

Mine did exactly the same thing last night, coincidence ????

It was the little curvy silencer part of the intake duct that is held to the shocky tower by a spring. It is held into the rubber intake pipe, between the MAF and the TB, with a hose clamp. Mine had come loose and it was leaking a s**t load of air.

I have since fixed the leak, screwed it back in tight and now runs great.

Prolly have to make your own. All the V8s had the intake resonator up until EL. Not sure about AU - maybe worth looking into. Otherwise, anything you can make to fit on there should be fine so long as it all fits airtight.
