The pulley on my alternator is slipping and causing it to not put out the proper charge. The guy at the auto elctrics is telling me its some special clutch type pulley and that the whole pulley needs to be replaced and not just simply tightened up like you would think.
Is that true or is he pulling my leg? It uses some weird female multi spline bolt that i dont have the tool for. Im tempted just to put 4 tack welds and weld the pulley on and be done with it but that would ruin any chance of me getting an exchange alternator in the future i reckon.
