Hey Fella's first of all is a underdrive kit a worthwhile investment.. 2nd I can't seem to find any for the au's, I have seen some on the U.S ebay site for the 5.0L mustangs with the serpentine belts from around 1993 to 1998 would these be the same for the au's, would appreciate it if anyone who can share some knowledge, thanks

BPT do underdrives (same for AU as for E series) but it is MUCH cheaper to buy from evilbay or the likes. Only downside is you have to get the waterpump drilled out to suit the Aussie waterpump. But still, it's much cheaper than buying a pre drilled set.
A very worthwhile mod too! |

there is no underdrive pulley for an AU. E series stuff will not work.

Crank pulley has the ignition pickup mounted on it. It's integrated into the balancer.

AU's are already factory under-driven - the crank pulley is a full inch smaller in diameter than E-series. And there are no kits available to slow the accessories any further afaik. The benefits of further slowing the accessories would be marginal and possibly detrimental to steering assist at parking speeds and charging at criuse with high current demand.

Currently I am rebuild a 5 lt Windsor with Trickflow top end Kit. Mechanic suggested I go with under pulley system. After a lot of research, my conclusion was, not needed, not recommended.
