Quote: 250 at the fly is a realistic goal with cam and tune.. Well that's somewhat of a relief, weighing in a couple of hundred kilos lighter might give me a small chance against the boss xr8s despite being 30kws shy Although I'd probably need a 3:45lsd in the diff aswell... now that'll be a whole new thread coming up as id have to modify the bearing to fit the common sedan diffs rather than sourcing the uncommon xh/g 3:45.

Only when those boss xr8's start running 13's, then you will have problems keeping up.

What needs to be modified? A 3.45 centre will go into an XG or XH housing as a direct swap.

I'm quite interested to see how quick she'll go down the quarter with the new motor, cam and tune. What sort of times are people pulling with 240/250kw NA at the fly with these Windsors in E/AU series? It'll be similar power and less weight than my (light modded) Aristo and that pulled a 13.7/13.9

I went to a diff specialist in Adelaide last Saturday and he said it required a different main bearing

{USERNAME} wrote: If you want to know a few other telltale 200 vs 220 pointers the key one is the heads. The 220 will have the intake ports port matched (this should be obvious by the machining marks in the first half inch of the port). It will be very clear if you take the heads off - the 220 had the big valves. Couldn't see/feel any porting.

Pretty sure my inlets were 46.97 mm. Not sure what the 220's had, I can only find specs on te50 svo

yes and no... from other threads ive come across it appears that some of the late 200s got the 1.7 as well..
if you have the engine number go to ford etis.com and click vehicle add "6fpaaa" to the beginning of the engine number and it will tell you exactly what year and month and what car its from... |

Thanks for contributing so much to the thread TROYMAN, appreciate all the advice.
I have the shell it came out of so I could ring Ford with all VIN, build date etc. Although, I was under the impression Ford weren't always sure about what went into the cross overs "mixy uppy" motors.
