Yep, 185KW is correct. 2 out of 2 answers the same! :)

They're a little sluggish, and to be honest the 75mm throttle body wont be helping, not really needed until you're pushing 200+ rwkw.

Mine with a mild cam, extractors and tune is good for about 170rwkw, nice car to drive!

The Fairlane is 175kw. Same motor as the S1 Xr8 185kw apart from the exhaust which is more restrictive, thus the loss of the 10kw. With the mods you have mentioned that it already has I imagine it should be good for 150-160rwkw. WOT In a straight line they are only roughly on par with the 6cyl VCT, however noticably better low-mid range when putting about.

Much better motor than a el xr8 due to different heads, Intake manifold, maf and tb. The low power power output is mostly due to very conservative cam, exhaust and tune.

All au fairmonts and fairlanes are 175kw.

Ahh, nice constructive post. Looking at your signature we're not biased at all are we? Maybe he wanted the AU?

Personally I'd take a AU S2/S3 over a poorly built series 1 BA for a number of reasons. Each to thier own mate.

im not just saying this because i just brought the car but the 3'' stainless exhaust sounds fuking good very deep nice note, even the old boy was impressed sounds alot better than his 2.5'' in his 302 he was going to go twin 2.5'' but think he is goin to go the 3'' after hearing mine :)

im pretty happy with the car
i have a dyno sheet which i dont get it says it has 160 rwkw then underneath that it says 183 rwkw in top gear with the number 2 circled next to it, im not sure if thats something to do with the different tunes on the capa chip?

any one know much about capa?
thanks guys

well before this car had a el ex-persuit 5ltr. or shall i put it correctly 4.9 ltr.
to get the performance out of a 302w that these modulars deliver you gotta spend some big dollars.

Yeah, I wish I would have gotten the 3" aswell but I was too paranoid about droning at the time.

160rwkw sounds about right for your combo. Not 183. even on the worlds best tune.

Mate nice Fairlane there seems like a good find! Ihave a 3" exhaust sports cats and Advance headers on my NF and I love it (only has one small Redback muffler) nice height and rims too, forget the BA - any Fairlane is better than them!
