Hi All
I have an AU fairlane. It seemed to have an intermittent misfire. I replaced the spark plugs and that helped a bit but i still get intermittent misfire at times. I bought a forscan cable and ran diagnostics on it, I cant seem to pinpoint the fault, one of my friends had the engine harness melted together and thinks it is that and that i should replace that first. a harness looks like it costs $500 so how common is that to be a fault on the V8? I feel if the engine gets so hot that the wiring melts together that seems like a major design flaw. The Fairlane is an AU1. the only thing i noticed on the live data was the cam sensor reading indicated fault but i dont know if that actually was calling a fault or if the test was unable to read the data. I am trying to avoid wasting money on replacing parts that dont need replacing.
