That's a question with many answers :D Are you after one that gives you better low down, mid range or top end power? Also, what sort of heads and intake manifold have you got?

That depends on who does it. A mechanic could charge you $80+ per hour and take a half a day. You may need a new timing chain kit, lifters and pushrods.

Comp XE264HR (35-349-8)
You will also need a new set of valve springs & retainers, I'd also replace the timing set. You will need a front timing cover gasket set, intake gaskets...

To maximise the new camshaft a revised tune would be advisable.

Costwise for a mechanic to do this as a drive in drive out, I doubt you'd have much/any change out of $2000.
