Thanks for that xafalcon, so I could just port match the one I have to any heads I use in the future. I need to get a throttle body, EGR plate and MAF from an Au as well, should be good with that.


Yep, use an intake gasket as a template. Do the heads as well. If they are still on an engine just remove the rocker cover, unbolt the intake rockers (closes the valves), replace rocker cover, cover valley and off you go. I use a vacuum cleaner with a length of windscreen washer plastic hose attached to suck out the filings from the ports, then an air gun to get that last few bits out. then re-torque rockers and it's finished.

The biggest TB the unmodified explorer intake suits is a 65mm unit, hence why they were opened up to suit the 70mm on the S3.
