Yes it will, but the electronics have a different plug on them. Just replace the AU electronics with your stock E-series one.

Yes, the AU maf will bolt onto the standard Airbox - the electronics are different so you need to swap them over with the E series electronics.
This actually causes the hotwire to see less air so your motor runs leaner - if you go this way it is best to keep an eye on your air/fuel ratio's.

The best thing to do is to take it to someone with an exhaust gas annalizer - looking for around 14.7 at idle and 12.5-13 on throttle. If the air fuel ratio is leaner than that you are likely to detonate a piston or at a minimum have a lean miss off idle and more at high revs (thats what Barry-V's and mine did with this setup)
If the air/fuel ratio is lean get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on it and fatten the mixtures up

The AU way is not a bad conversion - some cars run really bloody well with it (Yagz had his air/fuel ratio sittin on 13/1 across the whole range with his) but it changes from car to car.

The idle problems i had with mine were vured with the Pro-M from shane and the car is much nicer to drive with a heap more bottom end

As MrLandau said, i got some pretty decent AF ratios with the AU 70MM maf with my e-series hotwire.. But thats not to say every car is the same..

I for one will be purchasing a maf and injectors to suit from Mr Landau when i do my trickflow upgrade..

The AU meters are in the works now - I sent Jim from Pro-M in the states a meter and he has taken the calibration from it. To really get your air/fuel ratio spot on - it would probably be best to do a dyno run and check the air/fuel ratio's to see if you need it leaned out or richened in any of the maniputation points.
The AU meters will be the same price as the E series meters - $380 for a 70mm, $400 for a black 75mm bullet or $500 for a chrome 75mm bullet.
Shane

Very good, let us know when they are ready and i'll be in line!

She's going on the dyno this week actually to see what she's pulling and what tuning needs to be done.

i have an au1 xr8 manual and i have recently purchaced pacemakers and a twin 2 1/2" system for it. i have started having problems with it coughing and spluttering. i took it back to the exhaust place and after analysing the problem on a dyno they found that my MAF is too big?
tis car has been driven be oldies in the past and no aftermarket part would have been fitted. the part is apparently ok for the standard system, but not my new one. I am told the screen in the MAF has been replaced with a belmouth. i really need help on this one to see if im getting ripped off, because they say i need to buy a whole new unit. if this makes sence to anyone please reply.

The mass airflow meter can't be too big unless someone has retrofitted something from the T3 stroker or an American import. Have you got any pics of the existing meter?
