hey guys
just picked up a 2002 au xr8 ute, manual. so im cruising home after buying the ute, sitting on 110kph in 5th cog and my rpm is around 2800?? me thinkies the final drive has been changed, whats everyone else getting? std 17" rims and tyres -shaun |

On 110 kmh, my speedo is about 2200rpm. From the gearing calculator, it says you have 4.11 diff.

The standard XR diff ratio was 3.45:1, which is a compromise between performance and economy.

bugga! .... coulda done a straight diff swap as i have a spare 3.23 diff here
the 3.45 is a great swap too ... good pickup & revs are not high |

I'll run with the current combo for a bit and see if I get use to it for now, it's realistically not going to get driven too much anyway. May as well enjoy it.....
