valvestem seals leaking and probly worn guides would cause the smoke at start up.
checked your fuse for sunroof?

clean the throttle body, check for air leaks on the intake on the manifold side of the MAF, Do an ECU reset. I am presuming the thick cloud is black. It could also be a problem with the Maf itself. Failing these goget it all hooked up to a computer to read the fault codes.
