We ran afr 165 heads on our eb race car for about 18 months these heads are really good, we were making 465 rwhp (other work done besides heads). These heads DO require modified valve reliefs on tbe piston tops, One other suggestion if i may is to upgrade the pushrods when you do cam and lifters, the factory ones become a weak link with high lift cams

What was the combo for 465hp?

If you got no bolts you've been ripped off or, you've been supplied rockers for screw in studs which will be on the heads if they are not bolt-on rocker type heads.

Ok there's no such thing as carby vs EFI rockers. There were two basic types of rocker arrangements with Windsor engines. The early 60-70's heads used non-adjustable positive stop studs with rail type rockers. Around 78 they changed to bolt on stamped rockers also not adjustable. Do your ally heads have studs and guide plates?
I'm not sure if the late XR8 40p heads had an advantage over the early 40p heads you have. I believe some later models had bigger valves and minor port matching but I'm not sure if that was for the TS series only. Someone else could have those details?

Yeah they have studs and guides plates, this is straight from yella Terra and they said they give me the wrongs and to send them back and they will send me the right ones. The studs had a built in washer and the washer stopped it from going in? Too easy

Do your ally heads have 3/8" or 7/16" rocker studs? Yella Terra will need to know which to give you the right rockers.
