I wont drag it on, but in saying I can get an AU XR8 donor car, completely stuffed bad front end damage, heads and intake all ok.

if i put the heads, intake manifold, throttle body, maf sensor from this car will I receive worthwhile improvements on my ef ghia??? or would it be a complete waste of time? Te ef is on gas also..

Also what tuning would be required/ and would the old ECU be capable or is replacement needed?

Well worth it, if it is series 2 onwards, other wise just the manifold will be good to you, the Series 1's still had E7 heads as far as i am aware.

dare i say it brett- Windsor is probably your middle name *lol*, but i'm pretty sure even the series 1's AU's were given the gt40p treatment...

will the ef v8 ecu be ok with these mods even with the larger Maf?

Gas system might need larger convertor? I think the mixer ring should be ok.

All AUs have the GT40 heads. You will see a noticeble inprovement raff. Just keep your 19lbers though.

no it was silver and auto - motor is f**cked or else id use it! rest of car caught on fire- nothing salvageable apart from intake ,heads, maf and throttle body- even one side of extractors got bent :-( they seats would not be any good either unless u consider black springs comfy ba,ha,ha,ha!

how much will it cost for me to get someone to put it on (heads, intake) as I am snowed under with work....16 days straight this fortnight

Depending on how many kms the bottom end has, might as well change motors. Easier than heads and cam etc imo.

i think he said the engine was f**k. Make sure you check the side where the headers are bent to see there isnt any damage to the heads where they bolt up. Other then that would be a good pick up ;)
