Hey guys, ran into another problem with my NF Fairlane project.

I want to upgrade the standard 19lbs injectors with 24lbs. I purchased a set like the one pictured, and the 2 pins are smaller and the wiring harness plugs have 3 locking tabs as the blue injector only has one.

My question is do i cut down the E series wiring harness to fit, and have loose pins inside, or do i need to find an AU wiring harness to suit the injectors?

Also will the NF fairlane ecu have any problems with larger injectors, or should i fit the standard injectors then take it to get tuned and installed there to avoid damage?

I'm sure this has been covered before and have tired searching but didn't find anything relevant. I have tried various automotive and electrical shops with no luck. Any help and/or advice is appreciated.

Cheers Anthony

If you have no other mods your better off with 19's..
24's can be fitted with calibrated maf...
Yes the EEC can be tuned to run 24's also...

Why do you want to change the injectors? If you have no mods just stick to the standard ones.

cheers for that lethal EA.

After a more in depth search I have found that these are the 21lb EV6 plug type with improved spay pattern off the AU series 1, unless anyone can confirm different? This is the cheapest option I have found unless anybody knows of cheaper.

Engine isn't standard, brief run down, will include full once i type up a build page. Trying for 200kw with GT40P heads, explorer upper and lower intake, mild performance cam (can't remember specs off hand), crane 1.7 rollers and others i can't think of right now.

I know the injectors will run rich until it is tuned and wont improve my performance without larger throttle body and MAF.

Another related question, the car is also running LPG and has the mixer before the throttle body, it drastically reduces the intake diameter, is it still worth upgrading MAF and throttle body for when used on petrol?

I am open to any thoughts or suggestions

Are they orange (19lb) or blue (24lb)?

It's interesting that these are 24lb, are people sure these are 24lb? These are the same plugs as the USA vehicles, yet the USA ones of these are light blue for 24lb and dark blue (AU colour) for 39lb. Why would they make a whole separate colour unit just for the AU?

The dark blue EV6 shown above did come out in 21lb so checking the part number is the only sure way of knowing what that part number flows.

Have the rockers arrived yet, mate? I have a set of 24lb injectors sitting here that will plug straight in. If you were to find a buyer for yours, I could send them straight over ;)

Do you know what part numbers correspond to flow rate? I would quite like to know what the ones i have are.

Take the part number off the injectors and google it. Usually you'll find the specs will come up against the part numbr.
