hahaha one wonders exactly how they would have shut me down? the 2.5TT is a more powerful engine than our I6's, it's that straightforward. i love falcons. but i'm after bang for buck atm, and the soarer is delivering where the blue oval isn't.

In the bang for your bucks dept. maybe.

But everywhere else you care to mention. No.

If you love Falcons and you want bang for your bucks. Why not buy an EBII and spend 8K on engine / driveline mods? Should give those Soarers a hard time down the strip

Why bother? EA-EDs have possibly the most average, dated dash available. The hassles of engineering etc are hardly worth it.
I'm not really at all a boxcar fan, short of the Sprint, and cobalt XRs, i'm big on the EL monts and XRs, and the AUs and BAs i'm also a fan of.
I'm just really not keen on spending four times the worth of a car on mods.

and, might I add, I reckon you'd be struggling for 250 at the rears after spending 8k on an EB.
The soarer is not just about bang for buck, it's just such a good package, beautful interior, good performance and mod potential, power seats etc.

8k on a built 6 with a big single. There was one on here recently for sale(looks to chef) that was pushing close to those numbers. I believe even DC Straight is around 230. You would be surprised how much bang for you buck you can get out of an I6 if you are willing to do a lot of the work yourself.
Pull the motor and send it to a machine shop, then do the refit, there is 5-10hrs labour you have saved just there and at 40-80 an hour, that soon adds up

I can't stand anything worse then a modern looking car that sounds like a gemini with no exhaust. It doesn't matter how hard it goes its just wrong.

Clearly you've never heard a blitz nur spec exhaust ;).
Whoever said 300fwkw for 5k on an EL xr8, that's dreamer prices :p.

Brett, look at how much time and money Steve has poured into his mont to get it where it is? I just don't see the point in all that time money and effort when it can be done quicker and easier in a car that's just as good.

Your talking about time and money. How much does a blitz exhust go for? A lot of the jap parts go for much more then the locally made stuff for our local cars.

5k for a CAPA blower kit installed? I don't think so.. certainly not for 350rwkw.

Just get the Soarer.
If you can do work yourself, E-Series are a bargain and a half.
Parts are fairly cheap and plentiful, they are easy to work on.
When you have to start paying people to do things, the bargain side of things starts to go out the window.
Oh, and 8k on an EB? Easy 13s :)
