hi there can any one tell me how many cam sensors the ba xr8 boss 260 engine has and where are they located cheers

None, and nowhere.
Cams aren't variable, so no need for them. Crank angle sensor used for timing.

ok whats the little sensor on the front of timing cover on my boss 260 engine on passenger side just below rocker cover, im have idle issues its a bit rough on idle and fluctuates abit just not running right any thing over idle is good just on idle, i pelacedm the crank angle sensor tonight and no difference so i thought ill check that other little sensor and unplugged it while car was running and no different so wondering if its supposed to do that

na its got something to do with the cams or timing as there is a tab on cam sprocket that the sensor runs past as it does its revolution

Alrighty, I'm confused now.
Can find documentation calling them cam sensors, but can't find them on the electrical diagrams. Maybe they're there, but not in use.

you would think the boss motor doesnt hav cam sensors as they dont have vct like the 3v but you never know wat great ideas ford comes up with.
i didnt even know or understand why they have a power steering pressure sensor?.. but hey mine fuked up and i had to replace it.

They do have cam sensors(CID) Cylinder I.D. One in the left hand head. They need a cam sensor to signal TDC on the firing stroke for the sequential injection of fuel.
