Hi Guys
Need some help here. Looking at either an auto BA GT-P Blueprint or an auto AU3 TE50 Blueprint. I am torn between the 2. Slightly on the AU side as I love the old windsor and it was the last of the Tickford vehicles. I still enjoy my AU3 XR8 but time to hand it over to the wife and get me a new drive. (she currently has a AU2 XR6 VCT) Up side and downside would be a great help. Either or I like them both Cheers Dazza |

T3 for sure. They are rarer than a GTP and also got the only factory stroker motor. T Series are also starting to increase in value.

You would have to ask yourself what rocks your boat. I've found that the BAs are a great vehicle, nicer interior than an AU but the AU has a better V8. And the AU looks as though it has been in the sun for too long whereas the BA will be a classic one day, very muscular.

AU has a better IRS, V8 is lighter - better turn in, more reliable, lighter. Looks are subjective. I think the T-Series will/is becoming a classic, as so few were made, last Tickford, last Windsor etc. BA GT wasnt really exclusive, and probably never will be. If I was going to get a BA it would be a Typhoon, not a GT. But id still get a T-Series over them both... (and I will when the right one comes up)

Not wanting to get into internet wars but yes the question was open to subjective views was it not? My views on the AU are pretty strong mainly on the looks department, both inside and out. I do not like the baboons a*** for a centre stack nor do I want something that looks like a turtle.
Tickford V8 = too little, too late. If you're talking 6cyl cars, well Tickford cater well. The V8 is better and yes, so is the IRS. Turn in is nice too but compared to the look of the BA, well I wont go down there.... BA will be a classic one day. Just like the T3s.... |

BA for sure, I used to love the T3's but they've aged pretty badly IMO take a look at both interiors, I know which one i'd want to see everytime I hopped in to go for a drive.
I'd go the BA anyday.

I'd take the TS over a BA anyday
Sturmovik - i agree BAGT's are everywhere and sold by the 1000, T series will have it over them for sure. The T series Body styling takes away the speed bump look of a forte I'm sure there are more BA/BA2 GT's than EB XR8's on the road these days

I'd go the BA anyday. Considering some AU's are 12years old I think they have aged incredibly well and look rather modern, especially when put side-to-side with it's competitor of the day the VT commodore which looks like its straight out of 1993. On the otherhand I think the BA with its soft styling has aged quite poorly. The BA interior is nice and all but the downside is the High-end dashes look nearly identical to the povo-packs(apart from colour screen). If you went the TS50 you would get the high-end dash as it's based on the fairmont which is quite attractive I think. I was never a huge fan of the T-Series looks wise as I think the bodykits were way overdone, however I would go the TE due to rarity and it's more sports orientated rather than a overweight fat cruiser like the BA.

In my opinion, the T3s are the best looking AUs built. They have a real road presence, I don't see that many around and when I do see one, I keep looking until it's out of sight. BA GT-Ps are a pretty regular occurance on the road. I don't think they really stand out. Their performance is pretty sub-standard for what you'd expect out of something with the GT badge on it as well.
As another member said, over the GT-P, I'd get the Typhoon, but over the Typhoon I'd get the TE50.

T3 vs. BA1 = T3
Otherwise BA2/BF all the way. As for Typhoon vs. GT that's personal preference, they're both great cars.

^^^now theres some Fordmods thinking!!!
AU T3 are beautiful looking things IMO. And If ya can get one, go for it. I hate most B series. Overweight, same interiours from XT to LTD, and there as commen as White Commodores. I think a T3 TS50 in hertage green, BA buldge and a decent intake, exhaust and ya got a winner, without losing its rarity. |
